Interactive Art Installation: HandsON

HandsON

HandsON is an interactive installation that explores interpersonal relationship and connection.

In today's highly networked and tethered society, I feel that we are allowing ourselves less and less time to share a moment of direct contact with one another. This project is a reaction to such phenomenon, and I use three main elements--mirrors, lighting and heartbeat--to create a playful moment of connection between two participants. The purpose of this installation is to inspire participants to think about what contact and connection means in today's society.

This was my master's thesis project in Parsons MFA Design + Technology
