Green Urban Vehicle Design

Green urban Vehicle

The goal of this project was to develop a universal bio-diesel vehicle for commuters in two disparate regions: Providence, RI and Kisumu, Kenya. The result is a three-wheeled vehicle called CODA. The name comes from the music notation "D.C. al Coda," which means "to go back to the beginning and end at Coda." The name symbolizes the vehicle's green cycle.

This was a collaborative project among 30 students from RISD Industrial Design and Brown University Engineering departments. The team was split into 7 sub-teams; my sub-team's main responsibilities included designing the gauge layout, the steering handle, and the steering mechanism for the prototype.
